Yahoo Gassssss

Yahoo Pissing On Our Leg and Telling Us It’s Raining. Aren’t you so relieved that you can now not be afraid of gas prices north of $4.00 per gallon? Four dollars is not so bad. Hey Yahoo, why are folks driving fewer miles?  Perhaps because they cannot AFFORD to drive more?  Maybe fewer and fewer and fewer folks are working so they have no real reason to drive.  Can those citizens afford the higher gas prices?

Never mind that food prices have gone up. Hey my health insurance cost didn’t go up, but I do have to pay higher deductibles and not as much is covered. Oh and I had to buy tires recently…they were pretty expensive. McDonald’s “dollar menu” has disappeared and is now a value menu. I remember when a Wendy’s JBC was only a dollar. Hey, but according to Yahoo I can afford it.  I can actually afford it, but I won’t be able to save as much toward retirement so I’ll just have to work longer.

Hey YaIdiots did ya know that because of the better gas mileage and fewer miles driven our wonderful “representatives” in Washington are contemplating raising the federal gas tax.  I love how elected officials cry about crumbling infrastructure, roads and bridges as they prepare to screw us.  Maybe they should try cutting somewhere else to pay for those roads and bridges.  It’s called living within your means.  Oh and perhaps we should stop building SHIT (new roads and bridges) that we cannot maintain.  Just a thought.

I have seen a lot of crazy Yahoo headlines that strain credulity, but this one may be tops.
