The Ten Cannots
There was a news item a few days ago that got very little attention yet was perhaps the story of 2012 less than two weeks into the new year. It should have been front page above the fold with a bold, red headline. The total debt of the United States now exceeds our Gross Domestic Product, or
“The 100% mark means that your entire debt is as big as everything you’re producing in your country.”
“Economist Mark Zandi of Moody’s Analytics says reaching the 100% mark shows ‘the grave need to address our long-term fiscal problems.”
I have a suggestion. It is probably not very practical. It would be fairly impossible to accomplish, but I would love to have it work for a while.
One of the things that I struggle with is the thought process of liberals. I have friends and family who share this affliction (being liberal) and knowing them as I do I cannot understand their thought process regarding liberal issues/alters. I really have tried to listen, to understand, to plot the way they think, a process that usually ends with my being frustrated and cutting off the conversation to avoid bad feelings.

It’s an often used phrase to indicate your sincerity, word, honor about something when you swear on your mother’s grave…assuming she is dead of course. It really is a meaningless statement for those who think nothing of lieing to achieve their goals. Why would a sleazebag care about his mother when he has an agenda to push or a point to make. Perhaps they consider it “poetic license” to use a loved one in such a manner. I believe it is despicable.
Mr. Hume of course was discussing President Obama as he continues to wiggle to be all things to all people while refusing to lead on important issues as a world leader should. Obama has become the quintessential politician whose sole goal seems to be getting reelected. As of this writing and
