What a Bunch of…

Yahoo’s is the answer. I have a quandary. I don’t want to use Google for web searches because of their overt hypocrisy of supporting Obama, cow-towing to China and other tyrannical nations, and their “official” spin that they are somehow all about freedom for individuals. Out of habit I have tended to use Yahoo for my searches, but these folks are mind-numbingly (I don’t think that is a word) bad. I posted a “Sweet Sixteen” of Yahoo’s banners a while back so I am never surprised, but today’s banner was beyond the pale.

Obama In His Own Words – Shoot Last

Ambushed, tortured, and murdered Ambassador Chris Stevens

“Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later. And as president, one of the things I’ve learned is you can’t do that. That, you know, it’s important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts. And that you’ve thought through the ramifications before you make ’em.”

Ding Dong Osama’s Dead

Having just returned from a two day “college tour” with our high school junior I actually was in bed at 9:30 last night and did not hear the news until this morning.  The great news.  It was funny listening to the right-leaning talk shows today as the hosts grudgingly gave praise to Obama, but not quite happy about it.  I am happy about it and can acknowledge that “It’s Bush’s fault.”  Having taken the mess of our intelligence community left after Clinton and Garelick (the “Wall” lady) and infusing a mass of support and pride our human intelligence (“humint”)capabilities were greatly improved.  That’s not saying much since our humint was so lacking, but yesterday’s events prove the value of himint.  We may never know what all transpired, but Obama, perhaps unwittingly gave props to Bush,

Separated At Birth – Simpson/Clapper

Homer Simpson:  Homer is the “leader” of the animated television series “The Simpsons.”  While lovable he frequently finds himself intellectually lacking and often appears rather dumb when faced with logical issues.   Homer’s family and friends often have to come to his rescue when he makes massive mistakes.  Viewers watch in awe at his antics in anticipation of further mishaps.

Foreign Influence

The frightening thing about Brad Thor’s novels is the shear number of ways that terrorists could hit the United States.  Scot Harvath is back to foil major attempts to hit Americans here and abroad.  Harvath struggles with his age (fortyish), his desire for a family, and his deep hatred of jihadists as he travels the globe hunting down the Islamic fundamentalist organization plotting destruction.

A P.C. War

Whether you want to call it a “war on terror” as George W. Bush would or an “overseas contingency operation” as our current president prefers, we are at war.  At least those who are waging battle against us are at war.  I am not sure that politicians in Washington are at war or that the general public quite feels the war.  This war almost came home to us again on Christmas Day with a Nigerian terrorist.

We Are Not At War With Islam

Lest You Forget!

Lest You Forget!

The title of this piece is sort of a quote from a speech that President Obama gave to the Turkish legislature in April 2009.  His actual words were; “The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam.”  Many of his and his administrations actions certainly bear out his words.  In light of the recent events at Fort Hood and his response to that tragedy, I started to look back at his words and more importantly his actions.  I should let you know that by “his actions” I do mean things that he has done and that members of his administration have done.
