“Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt contended that the president has not broken his promise on [taking money from] lobbyists, saying in a statement that the Times analysis “misses the forest for the trees.”
The accusation has to be particularly hurtful to Obama since it came from their long-time pubic relations firm, The New York Times. If you factor in “liberal-speak” there is a missing word in the quote from Obama’s spokesman and that would be the word “directly.” Once the money is bundled and rebundled and given by lobbyists, but from their personal accounts it’s all mixed up. Who could follow it. You would have to be as naive as a mass media journalist to believe that lobbying money doesn’t make its way into Obama’s coffers.
A while back I was dismayed by an editorial/comment by one of the editors of the Costco magazine regarding Al Gore and Glenn Beck. I took exception to a membership magazine disparaging Beck while hoisting Gore on a pedestal to schlep his most recent book. My post, 
uses the usual cast of characters in this exciting novel. Act of Treason doesn’t have as much of the covert operations-type danger as past Rapp novels which is a nice change. I could kind of figure out what was going to happen in many places and I liked that. 
The first and perhaps the most hated is former Republican Veep candidate, Sarah Palin. Sean Hannity calls it “Palin Derangement Syndrome.” The left was probably very disappointed that they did not get to choose the Republican VP candidate like they chose John McCain and took an instant dislike to her. From the price of her campaign wardrobe to who is the mother of her child to what she reads and most recently what she writes on her hand.
A month ago Costco featured former VP, Al Gore, on their magazine cover. Many members of the warehouse club expressed our displeasure with both the free publicity for Gore (he was hawking a book) and the shot the editor David Fuller seemed to take at Glenn Beck who was charged by Costco for the same privilege to hawk his book. The second of these issues is what
