So what took the media, at least some mainstream media folks, so long to call what the Obama Administration is doing a “Lie?” This “news” story by Gallup is hardly new. In case you haven’t heard, Gallup discovered that the Administration’s unemployment number of 5.6% may not be true! My God! This would be shocking if economists hadn’t been saying this for years…literally years. Here are some key phrases for your entertainment (I cannot say enlightenment as most conservative folks knew this);
“The official unemployment rate, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, is extremely misleading.”
Is Petraeus carrying the ball for Obama?
I’m imagining a high school kid sitting in the principal’s outer office waiting for his sure to be angry parents to arrive. They were summoned by the school because of the student’s misdeed. The tiny little brain is churning, trying desperately to come up with an excuse; any reason to wiggle out of this tough spot; as if this couldn’t be helped; as if it wasn’t their fault. What kind of a whopper would they come up with?
I am going to shock you…
- Politicians lie!
- The main stream (old media) covers for them…at least the Demoncrats.
Brief 1: July’s jobs report came out and Obama hit the stump bragging about how many private sector jobs were created that month. Apparently we are heading in the right direction;
“That means that we’ve now created 4.5 million new jobs over the last 29 months, and 1.1 million new jobs so far this year. Those are our neighbors and family members finding work and the security that comes with work.”
News briefs are a collection of interesting news stories. This edition is all about lies that liers tell to lie to you;
Brief 1: The attempt Tuesday to use a legal procedure to recall a governor who is not accused of illegal activities failed and Republican Governor Scott Walker won bigger than his original election. Events (AND NEWS STORIES) leading up to the election seemed to predict a very tight race. That’s the LIE. Walker cruised to a win and now the democrat media machine is trying to make the win all about money. They even are fudging the figures to make it look like the Republicans outspent the democrats. This is BIG news and a BIG win for TEA Party folks. If you want proof that this was a very important election look at this loaded quote from ABC Mews the day before the election;
“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea? God bless. Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”
It’s an often used phrase to indicate your sincerity, word, honor about something when you swear on your mother’s grave…assuming she is dead of course. It really is a meaningless statement for those who think nothing of lieing to achieve their goals. Why would a sleazebag care about his mother when he has an agenda to push or a point to make. Perhaps they consider it “poetic license” to use a loved one in such a manner. I believe it is despicable.
“I gave him the challenge that I give to all Democrats. If a Democrat can name one thing specific to Democrats that has improved the lives of black people and justified blacks voting 94% Democrat for the last five decades, then I will pay his monthly mortgage payment once for each issue on which he is right. For the record, I have made this bet with Democrats from all walks of life, including political science professors, and have yet to pay a mortgage.”
Hypocrisy is defined as:
- The practice of professing standards, beliefs, etc., contrary to one’s real character or actual behaviour.
- A feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not.
- An expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction.
Synonyms: deceit, insincerity
What does Edmond Burke think:
“Hypocrisy can afford to be magnificent in its promises; for never intending to go beyond promises; it costs nothing.”
How about Billy Connolly’s thoughts:
“Hypocrisy is the vaseline of political intercourse.”
Can you give some examples?
Social Security wisdom passed along by Rich:
History Lesson on your Social Security Card that you won’t see in the main-stream media–now or ever. Learn these facts–they’re relevant!!!
- Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed. I compared my SS Card with my daughters and the note regarding it not to be used as identification has been removed.
