In The Year 2525
The year 2525 is probably the year when we “officially” find out from historians that conservatives were right and that Barney Frank and Democrat policies started the global financial meltdown and Obama’s policies like the Stimulus, Obamacare, and Dodd-Frank prolonged the agony. That is because history is mostly written by liberal academics (I know that is redundant) and they have a slightly biased view of the world.
I am exagerating about the date 514 years from now, but consider that until recently most historical accounts of the Great Depression give FDR credit for ending it. There have been books like The Forgotten Man which set the record straight, but few probably read this. However nearly seventy years after the depression ended two UCLA economists place the blame where it belongs…on FDR.

“When we take a position that isn’t willing to embrace evolution, when we take a position that basically runs counter to what 98 of 100 climate scientists have said, what the National Academy of Science has said about what is causing climate change and man’s contribution to it, I think we find ourselves on the wrong side of science, and, therefore, in a losing position,”

Mr. Hume of course was discussing President Obama as he continues to wiggle to be all things to all people while refusing to lead on important issues as a world leader should. Obama has become the quintessential politician whose sole goal seems to be getting reelected. As of this writing and
I was recently watching one of my favorite shows, Always Sunny In Philadelphia. In one episode the main characters were held hostage by some local bullies and one of the hostages talked about Stockholm Syndrome and even began to exhibit symptoms. Stockholm Syndrome is where hostages who have been held for a long time begin to share the values and beliefs of those who are holding them captive. I have a very healthy disrespect for the main-stream media as water-carriers for the Democrats and liberal causes, but I have begun to feel sorry for them. I do believe that they may actually have Stockholm Syndrome.
We recently had the good fortune of attending the graduation ceremony for our oldest as he moves from university life to working life. This is even more gratifying for him as he has secured gainful employment in a field that he loves. Congratulations Kevin!
So I’m driving through a more “liberal” neighborhood in Pittsburgh last Saturday and was not surprised to be following a boxy car covered with bumper stickers. Surprisingly the car was not a Subaru Forester. I first noticed the “coexist” sticker on the top center of the rear window. I probably saw thirty of these that day during my travels. The crescent always looks to me like a PacMan-like character ready to consume the other symbols (religions). Perhaps that is an accurate symbolism. As we wove through a somewhat rainy morning (hence the somewhat fuzzy photo – sorry about that) I got a chance to get a closer look at this driver’s array. I started to laugh as I noticed two of the stickers were shockingly contradictory (I’ve enlarged them for you).
