Framing the Dialogue

If You Like It You Can Keep It

We have all come to learn that Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and all of the other Demoncrats that wrote and pushed the Affordable Care Act (AKA ACA, Obamacare) down our throats lied.  The “grandfathered” plan was a hoax because they KNEW that very few plans could be grandfathered.  They continue the lie as they say “it’s not our fault that your insurance carrier no longer offers the plan that you liked” know full well that is not true.  The law was written to achieve exactly that.  I happen to work for an organization that has what can be described as a “Cadillac Health Plan” though to get it I accept a lower salary.  I don’t need a crystal ball to know that Obamaites are coming after me.  I am sure that I’ll be able to keep my plan…they’ll just tax the hell out of this benefit until I bleed.

Not A Dimes Worth of Difference

dimeDemicans and Republicats that’s what they are; the two political parties.  They often fight and try to outwit each other, but far too often they get together and that’s when we really get screwed.  They were recently at it over Obamacare.  Oh the Republicans still officially hate it and the Democrats conversely love it, but lately neither are as far apart as would normally make me comfortable.  The Politico reported that;

Jon Galt, Jr.??

Ayn Rand’s famous character from Atlas Shrugged railed against big government and a nanny state.  Many of us find inspiration in his words and actions to bolster capitalism;

“I ask for nothing more or nothing less than what I earn. That is justice. I don’t force anyone to trade with me; I only trade for mutual benefit. Force is the great evil that has no place in a rational world. One may never force another human to act against his/her judgment. If you deny a man’s right to Reason, you must also deny your right to your own judgment. Yet you have allowed your world to be run by means of force, by men who claim that fear and joy are equal incentives, but that fear and force are more practical.”

Flow – Go With It Lame Stream Media

It started as a relatively modest groundswell as average citizen awoke to the path politicians were forcing us down.  The groundswell was followed by a trickle as more folks got engaged and even the main stream media started to actually report rather than cheer on the Obama White House.

The groundswell and trickle has lead to a flow!

The first example is the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart.  Jon is a liberal stalwart who generally leans severely left while occasionally getting it “right.”  While the rest of the lame stream media ignored the Climategate scandal, Stewart made this broadcast.  This must have been a shock to Stewarts audience.  Ordinarily I would embed the video here, but it is no longer available on YouTube.  This link will take you to the clip.

A Time For Giving

Donate_FullAs we approach the Christmas season many of us look inside ourselves to consider how we can help our fellow man.  This is truly a time of giving and Americans are more generous than most other nations.  I am not just talking about aid given by the federal government, but donations by average people who often open their pocketbooks when others are in trouble.

I read a heartwarming story about an organization that received nearly $3 million from Americans to help reduce their debt.  Unfortunately their debt is fastly approaching $8 trillion.  If you have guessed that the organization is the United States and the Treasury Department accepts gifts.  This is in addition to the taxes we are all forced to turn over.
