Sé Questor

chicken littleNow that we’re into Day 2 of the Apocalypse AKA The Sequester Americans seem to be responding with a healthy ho hum.  While I live in Western Pennsylvania where the sun rarely comes out in the winter, but it’s light out so I have faith that it is out there somewhere.  The world did not end.  It is still early and  Chicken Little who lives in the White House is still running around screeching that the sky is falling.  Don’t get me wrong as I have no doubt that he will do his best to make the sky fall, but so far he has been ineffectual.  Even the New York Times called him on his scam.  That has to be a bitter pill to swallow when one of your friendly media outlets calls you out.  Ouch!

True American Hero – Senator Jim DeMint

Forget about the John McCains, the Mitt Romneys, the Newt Gingrichs, the Rudy Guilianis, the Mike Huckabees, and dare I say it…the Karl Roves.  These politicians had their day, but now it is time to fade away.  These folks have done their damage to the Republican Party and seem to enjoy the lame stream media limelight too much for my taste.  I no longer want a party that goes along to get along.  I want a party and leaders within that party who FIGHT for American values of small government.

Blinded By The D.C. Lights

While many of us conservatives are not the least bit surprised that Democrat leaders don’t understand the hopes, fears, desires, expectations we have for our country, I have been more than a little surprised at the blindness of so many Republicrats to the same issues.  As a registered Republican (though not for long – can you say independent) I was rather discouraged when our presidential nominee was ordained long before the primary in my state.  Even more perplexing was the fact that Democrat voters and pundits had more say in that selection than millions of registered Republicans.  The turnout in the 2008 election is a testament to the disgust many of us felt, though I swallowed and voted for Palin/McCain.
