Obama Appoints Warren to Shape New Consumer Agency
In this series I choose a current news article and you decide via a multiple choice format which terms were used and whether others would have been more accurate…….
Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) — President Barack Obama named Harvard law professor Elizabeth Warren a(n) __________ (adviser, czar, czarina, non-vetted adviser) to help __________ (control, shape, subvert, empower) the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, calling her __________ (“one of the country’s fiercest advocates for the lower class,” “one of the country’s fiercest advocates for the middle class,” “an elitist from academia with no business experience who will further my socialist agenda,” “an awesome sista and you’re a racist if you oppose her nomination…wait there was no nomination process as she is just another one of my extra-Constitutional appointees with unlimited power and answers only to me…snap!”)
Brief 1: This one should be under the title of “how cool is this.” Kellogg Company has opened a store dedicated to their ever popular Pop-Tart (my favorite is iced brown sugar with cinnamon).
As I sat this evening to try to catch up on the happenings of the day I, of course, went to Drudge (link on the right…scroll down a little…there it is). I had heard some of his remark discussing the “spectacle” of oil executive having the nerve to defend themselves after being summoned to testify in Congress.
Update – Lord Christopher Monckton has gotten some attention at least on Fox News and other balanced media outlets. I am still impressed with his love of United States and his passion for pulling back the curtains to expose the man made global warming (AKA climate change) schemes. Al Gore has still managed to avoid debating anyone of stature and most recently several liberals have suggested Sarah Palin as an adversary. I love Sarah Palin, but she is not the person I want to put up against Gore.
My family went on a nature hike last weekend and I noticed that many of the oak trees are dropping their acorns. Happy Fall days are here for deer and squirrels, but not so great for
Update September 10, 2009: The original posting was about the co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods, John Mackey, speaking out about the health care debate. Mr. Mackey made the serious mistake of offering very practical (and practiced by Whole Foods) solutions to some of the problems with America’s health care. He did not do as most on the left do and blindly spew the tenants of Obamacare. Big Mistake.
