Cost Of College

So get your duct tape ready before you watch this video from MSNBC.  As is usual with liberals the woman on the right (while actually on the LEFT) continues to interrupt the man on the left (Actualy RIGHT & CORRECT) thus the need for duct tape to contain your head’s impending explosion.  When you cannot win an argument talk louder and over everybody else.  To his credit Mr. Schiff does not partake of this type of “debate” though on many levels I wish he would just tell her to shut up while he talks.

Tax Cuts Cost More!

GOP tax cut plan to cost $28B more than Dems’ pitch

This headline should alternately make your head explode, make you cry, or piss you off.  Published by the Washington Post (Obama Post) last Thursday (click on the headline to be directed to the full article) it fallaciously attempts to paint the “Dem’s” as cost cutters because, I guess, their tax plan “costs” less.

ALL POLITICIANS, LAME STREAM MEDIA ELITISTS, LIBERALS, RINOS, OTHER STUPID PEOPLE should note that LETTING US KEEP THE MONEY THAT WE HAVE LEGITIMATELY EARNED SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A FREAKIN COST!

Not For Profit

Arthur Amolpid got out of high school in 1950.  While his grades weren’t that great his job prospects were even worse.  Art, however, was an entrepreneur before the term was commonly used and looked for a way to make it on his own.  Fortunately his folks didn’t mind that he stayed with them while he pursued his dream.  He just needed to figure out what that dream was.  His parents were not that well to do and lived within their modest means, but Arthur felt comfortable with the wealthy and frequently socialized with the more affluent crowd.

C + P = PC

This is a rather simple equation that should be used whenever a group suggests that something won’t have an impact on consumers or expresses a desire to tax (or charge fees) for some industry or demonize profits from some large industry.

C = Cost to produce something

P = Profit needed by company to make it worth the risk to produce something

PC = Price to consumer

Update – Up In Your Business

A few months ago I wrote about how government likes to all up in your business. They just cannot help themselves. One of the examples was how the City of Pittsburgh through its Urban Redevelopment Authority used eminent domain to seize a local theatre in Pittsburgh. The Garden theatre had suffered from the decline of city theatres and the proliferation of suburban multi-screen venues. They somehow survived by catering to the XXX movie crowd. I obviously don’t know the details of their finances, but they stayed in business for decades screening those flicks. That is until the City of Pittsburgh decided that the area would be better suited to a retail development.

Update – Twelve Days of Obamacations

I asked for this information in my original post and someone took the time to calculate the cost of the Obama’s trip to India and other points East.  I expected the cost to be staggering, but this trip defies even my gut feelings.   It’s only going to cost the United States’ citizens/taxpayers $200 million each day for the Obamacation.

That’s $200,000,000.00 EACH DAY

I am at a loss for words.

You may read the original post here.

Twelve Days of Obamacations

The hoopla surrounding the Obama’s “historic” trip to India following the expected Democrat/Obama thumping at the polls on November 2 has really not reached fever pitch yet so I wanted to get my licks in early.  Amid concerns of Indian officials that his visit will increase the likelihood of violence as extremists look for publicity the level of security has been heightened.  While the President deserves security, maybe some accommodations could be made for economy.  We are in the worst recession since the Great Depression after all.

Liberal Alters – Public Education

My own personnel experience with public education was limited to a year in kindergarten at Horace Mann school.  The building still stands today, but no education going on in there anymore unless you consider stabbings and shootings and in particular how to avoid them education.  My parents enrolled me in a private educational system starting if first grade.  Before you get all twisted the private education was Catholic Schools in which I spent the next twelve years.  Going to Catholic grade school was certainly convenient as I could walk there and there certainly was discipline growing up Catholic.
