First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It would be nice to start off fresh this new year with a new beginning as the new year baby is supposed to signify. As with most symbols reality has a way of creeping in. An article in our hometown “conservative” newspaper has me shaking my head mostly because it was written locally and as such had the opportunity to set some of the record straight and illustrate to the masses the flaws of big government. They failed.
Obama’s Justice Department is hot on another “criminal” as they have gone after Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Maricopa County in Arizona. In an AP (Adulterated Press) story the federal government has “found that Arpaio’s office committed a wide range of civil rights violations against Latinos, including unjust immigration patrols and jail policies” and one official “called it the most egregious case he has seen or reviewed in professional literature.” Big Brother (Eric Holder) has given Arpaio until January 4, 2012 to decide if he wants to work out an agreement with Obama/Holder.
News briefs are a collection of interesting news stories…
Brief 1: Big New York Brother wants to use the occasion of the failed truck bomb to “flood Manhattan” to stop future attacks. Someone needs to explain how an inanimate object like a video camera will stop attacks. Will they be fitted with propulsion systems to they can hurl themselves at would be attackers? It would be more economical to use drones to fly over the city like on the television series “24.” My prediction is that they’ll buy cameras made in China.
I may be on the cusp of hitting it big or hit the “tipping point.” I came across an explosive White House document as I searched the Internet earlier in the week. I wasn’t sure whether to publish it as I don’t have a lot of money to defend myself from Big Brother. This document has the potential to bring down politicians at a very high level.
This single page document seems to outline the strategy as the White House and the Democrats pursue their transformation of America. The ingenuity of the document is its flexibility as it can be modified and adjusted to fit multiple goals. I had seen similar documents, but they were in chemistry books and dealt with waste treatment. You can be the judge whether this constitutes “waste treatment.”
March 15, 2009 Update – Here we go again. The US House and Senate have graciously, no generously agreed to give up thier pay raise. Lawmakers were knocking each other over to get “mic” time to show their great leadership. Unfortunately, the raise that they agreed was not due until 2010. They will accept the raise this year. This is a quote from Bloomberg News (Sorry, but I could not find the link):
“Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman, Daniel Inouye, a Hawaii Democrat, accused Vitter of ‘playing politics’ with his proposal (to eliminate all congressional pay raises). Inouye said, “Most Americans have a healthy understanding of the difference between a pay raise and a pay adjustment based on inflation.”
