Veterans Administration = Obamacare

imageWND News posted an article that looked back at how Obama hyped the Veterans Administration would be a model for the preeminent healthcare system in the world AND as a view into what Obamacare will bring us.

Obama 2008: VA will be ‘leader of health care reform’

That part is true and is a frightening peak into what’s in store for us unless the bums in Washington (both Dems & GOP) repeal NOT FIX Obamacare.  Remember they exempted themselves from the VA/Obamacare.  Here are some quotes from the article;

If We Can Save One Child

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

Update – With Friends Like These

A few days ago I posted a number of comments by Obama’s “friends that were less than complimentary.  At the end I purposefully left off the thousands and thousands of gaffes by his running mate and the guy next in line to the presidency, Joe Biden.  I shouldn’t be surprised that even Joe couldn’t find a way to force me to use him in the post.  IT IS EXTREMELY SCARY THAT THIS LOOSE-TONGUED IDIOT IS THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.  He is like an overdone SNL skit though all SNL skits are almost always overdone.  I have to grudgingly admit that the new teeth and hair look better than the old Joe.  You can put new hair and teeth on a pig, but it is still Joe Biden.

What a Bunch of…

Yahoo’s is the answer. I have a quandary. I don’t want to use Google for web searches because of their overt hypocrisy of supporting Obama, cow-towing to China and other tyrannical nations, and their “official” spin that they are somehow all about freedom for individuals. Out of habit I have tended to use Yahoo for my searches, but these folks are mind-numbingly (I don’t think that is a word) bad. I posted a “Sweet Sixteen” of Yahoo’s banners a while back so I am never surprised, but today’s banner was beyond the pale.

Separated At Birth – Biden/Banzai

Banzai Hyena: Banzai of Lion King fame isn’t quite as bright as his de-facto leader, Shenzi. He is quick with stupid jokes and really easy to be offended — or more like: really glad when he can be violent in response to any stupid jokes from anyone who isn’t a hyena. He does not compete with Shenzi or Ed because they’re friends. When he isn’t laughing about his own jokes or Ed’s clumsy behavior then he is still hungry! As always. Hyenas play one kind of bad role in the life of Lions. On the Lion King Muck, most hyenas are evil. But there are nice hyenas and hyena cubs too! Well, not these three, that’s for sure.

You Just Can’t Write This Stuff

I can only hope that folks are waking up to the REAL B. Hussein Obama and that the sleeping giant of mainstream America is finally realizing what a dangerous group of folks have taken over the Democrat Party.  As a recovering Democrat (I recovered during Clinton’s stint) I can say that the the crazies in charge (i.e. Obama, Mrs. Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Al Frankin, Chuck Schummer, Charlie Rangle, Anthony Weiner, Barbara Boxer, Henry Waxman, Gerry Brown, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, Chris Matthews, Matt Lauer, Jim Leher, Bob Scheifer, and on and on and on) are not the Democrats of old.  This group cares about nothing but their agenda.

News Briefs – Volume XXIV

News briefs are a collection of interesting news stories…

Brief 1: In the town where ground troops first met in battle during the Civil War (Manassas, VA or Bull Run for you northerners) another battle is looming. Obama’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) held a press conference yesterday proudly announcing that 160 “foreign nationals” (illegal aliens) were arrested. All was not joyful in the story however as local politicians reminded that ICE has a slushy record regarding detaining illegals even when they have criminal records.

Tweet Thompson

Someone at I Hate The Media compiles a list of Fred Thompson’s top ten tweets each week.  The former presidential candidate is rather funny as he addresses hot topics in today’s political world.  I actually had higher hopes for his candidacy, but he didn’t seem to get any traction in the media as they chose Sen. John McCain as the Republican candidate.  While their candidate, BHO, won the presidency their plan backfired as McCain gave conservatives a wonderful spokesperson in Palin and Obama’s lurch toward big government socialism gave birth to the TEA Party.

Blinded By The D.C. Lights

While many of us conservatives are not the least bit surprised that Democrat leaders don’t understand the hopes, fears, desires, expectations we have for our country, I have been more than a little surprised at the blindness of so many Republicrats to the same issues.  As a registered Republican (though not for long – can you say independent) I was rather discouraged when our presidential nominee was ordained long before the primary in my state.  Even more perplexing was the fact that Democrat voters and pundits had more say in that selection than millions of registered Republicans.  The turnout in the 2008 election is a testament to the disgust many of us felt, though I swallowed and voted for Palin/McCain.
