Framing the Dialogue

Slip & Fall

In the book of cliches Slip & Fall started off really in the thick of it.  Son of a hard working Italian carpenter makes good with an ivy league law degree and sets up shop in his old neighborhood.  His wife is pregnant, his business falls on bad times and he has this cousin who is involved with an organized crime family.  Did I mention that he is Italian?  Oh and the “hero” has a spunky Hispanic secretary…a single mother to boot.  I was tempted to toss this novel by Nick Santora due to the high predictability factor.

I didn’t and while there was a lot of predictability there was also some pretty good writing.  I found this novel to be quite entertaining and worth reading.  The last fifty or so pages kept me up past my bedtime.
