Framing the Dialogue

Separated At Birth – Fudd/McCain

Elmer J. Fudd:  Egghead is a fictional cartoon character and one of the most famous Looney Tunes characters, and the de facto archenemy of Bugs Bunny. He has one of the more disputed origins in the Warner Bros. cartoon pantheon (second only to Bugs himself).  His aim is to hunt Bugs, but he usually ends up seriously injuring himself and other antagonizing characters. He speaks in an unusual way, replacing his Rs and Ls with Ws, so “Watch the road, Rabbit,” is replaced with “Watch the woad, wabbit!” Elmer’s signature catchphrase is, “Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I’m hunting wabbits”, as well as his trademark laughter, “huh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh”.  Elmer was usually cast as a hapless big-game hunter, armed with a double-barreled shotgun (albeit one which could be fired much more than twice without being reloaded) and creeping through the woods “hunting wabbits”.  [Wikipedia]

John S. McCain: RINO is a unreal character and one of the most famous Looney Republican characters, and the de facto archenemy of any real conservative. He has one of the more confusing bonafides of the GOP (second only to John Boehner).  His aim is to hunt any microphone held by a main-stream media person, but he usually ends up seriously injuring conservative values and other mainstream causes. He speaks in an unusual way, replacing his Rs and Ls with Ws, so “Republicans need to reach across the aisle,” is replaced with “Wepublicans need to weach acwoss the aisle!” McCain’s signature catchphrase is, “Ah Ah I was almost Pwesident”, as well as his trademark laughter, “huh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh”.  John is usually cast as a hapless big-game legislator, armed with a willingness to buckle (albeit one which can be fired much more often to our dismay and yet he gets reelected) and creeping through the Senate “hunting weporters”.
