Framing the Dialogue

Love Obama Style

As I sat this evening to try to catch up on the happenings of the day I, of course, went to Drudge (link on the right…scroll down a little…there it is).  I was attracted to the headline/link stating “Obama says stop the finger pointing.”  Even though I generally read every word printed that Oblama speaks, I admit to skipping.  I had heard some of his remark discussing the “spectacle” of oil executive having the nerve to defend themselves after being summoned to testify in Congress.

That link was near the top left of Drudge.  Lower and on the right another link caught my eye about Oblama, “Angry Obama seeks to deflect blame for oil spill crisis.”  What, our Oblama is angry?  The link took me to a CBSNEWS article about Oblama’s speech today.  I almost wrote news conference, but he doesn’t like to have to answer questions so he doesn’t hold them.

It seems the Organizer-In-Chief does not want to be blamed for the lackluster federal response to the massive oil spill.  It is the fault of the oil companies…and Bush;

“For too long, for a decade or more, there has been a cozy relationship between the oil companies and the federal agency that permits them to drill. It seems as if permits were too often issued based on little more than assurances of safety from the oil companies. That cannot and will not happen anymore.”

Since that clearly sounded like finger pointing I went back to the earlier link where Oblama says stop the finger pointing.  The link took me to the exact same article about the same speech;

“I did not appreciate what I considered to be a ridiculous spectacle during the congressional hearings into this matter.  You had executives of BP and Transocean and Halliburton falling over each other to point the finger of blame at somebody else.”

I am not even sure how a “journalist” could write an article where Oblama says don’t point finger followed by finger pointing and not comment on that.  Is the state of “journalism” that in the tank for this guy?  This is a guy who has done nothing but blame  _________ (fill in the blank with; Wall Street, insurance companies, big oil, little oil, pharma, capitalism, banks, Republicans, Bush, Cheney, tea party members, Fox News, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, greedy rich people who want to actually keep some of the money they earned, conservatives, and so on).

Has there ever been a time in history where a community organizer has enjoyed such free reign by the press?  Of course his buddies Chavez and Castro have it and his hero Stalin had it, but they all used guns.

We do need to elect new leaders in Washington.  We also need to find a way to break the hold Oblama and liberals have on the media.

To quote one of my favorite web sites;  I HATE THE MEDIA!
