Framing the Dialogue

F My Life

 F My Life: It’s Funny, It’s True, Except When It Happens to You

I can relate to F My Life.  Heck we all have done really stupid things.  I have a list that I’ve compiled over the past few years of the really dumb things that I have done.  Sadly, it is not that short of a list.  The authors have compiled some of their favorite that had been posted on their website of the same name.  If you need a laugh or a cringe this book is for you.  I loved it.  My only critique is that it was too short.  Here are some of my favorites;

“Today I was at work at the grocery store, and a woman pulled a cart toward me filled with chips, breads, lunch meats, and sodas. I said to her, “Looks like you’re going to have a fun party!” She looked back at me and said, “My mother just died. This is for after the funeral.” FML”

This one hit home as I was recently passed over for a promotion for a much younger, less experienced person who seemed to personally know the “decider”.  It is very unsavory…

“Today I found out that my assistant is now my manager. FML”

I’ve come to grips with it.  Almost.  Okay, not really.  FML

Last one…

“Today I was eating ice cream and I noticed some on my jeans, so I wiped it off with my finger and licked it. It was bird shit. FML”

You’ve got to read this.
