Framing the Dialogue

This is the second book in Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series.  We left off the City of Bones novel with hunted shadowhunter, Valentine, still on the loose and some startling news about Jace and Clary’s lineage.  In City of Ashes Clary’s frustration with her world being turned upside down and faces even more revelations and guess what…more changes.

The novel peaks as the forces of the Claven confront evil demons and Clary discovers something remarkable about herself. This second book is much as the first…a good book to read and somewhat of a cross between Harry Potter and the Divergent series.  The violence is muted and you are not quite sure who is worse the faeries, vampires, or werewolves.  Hint it’s not who you think.
