Scooped
I pledged to try different books this year and landed with this “prequel” “novella”. Scooped
introduces us to Lacey Luzzi as she searches for a past that she didn’t know existed until she started going through some of her mother’s belongings. All she really knows is that her mother wanted a job that didn’t “leave a paper trail.” Lacey’s search for her family is aided by a colorful friend and some other unlikely people.
The story was entertaining though a little scattered and that may have been intentional as fitting the main character. I am intrigued enough to read the next book.
